Boston Harbor Hotel
2006 free outdoor entertainment
Another right of summer is the
kickoff of the Boston Harbor Hotel's free outdoor entertainment
series, Summer in the City. Beginning on
Wednesday, June 14th, the Boston Harbor Hotel will again
be one of the city's hottest outdoor entertainment venues when
it launches the 8th Annual Summer in the City series with
the big band sounds of the renowned White Heat Orchestra.
Summer in the City features four free nights of entertainment
each week through September 1st. Boston visitors and residents
can beat the heat by enjoying live swing, soul and blues Tuesday
through Thursday nights from a floating barge on Rowes Wharf.
Friday nights bring free classic movies by moonlight. Cool breezes,
passing yachts and the award-winning cuisine of Chef Daniel
Bruce at the Intrigue Café Terrace makes Boston
Harbor Hotel a hot entertainment spot each summer.
Summer Swing
Beginning on June 14th, The White Heat Orchestra will
play on Wednesday evenings from through August 30th from
6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The White Heat Orchestra is a high-energy
band that plays swing and jazz from the 1930's and 1940's.
Blues Barge
Beginning on June 15th, Blues Barge is on Thursday evenings
though August 31st, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
