crew at the Town Square Diner has a lot of fun at work, mingling with
the customers and serving diner food in the best traditional sense.
From tuna melts to pancakes, the Town Square Diner is a true "townie"
place -- after all, many people who were born and raised in Norwood
have chosen to never leave their beloved town. Specializing in
breakfast and lunch, the Town Square Diner stays open until 9 p.m. on
Friday nights during the school season to serve some great turkey
dinners, American Chop Suey, pot roast, seafood chowder and more. The
Town Square Diner, however, is known for its great breakfasts,
especially the blueberry pancakes and omelettes.
The
diner is an architectural gem, dating back to the late 1940s, with a
long counter and accompanying stools, boxes of cereal on the shelves,
freshly made cake within view, and tile floors.
The
Town Square Diner is ultimately a place that will make you feel good --
a restaurant from another era that prides itself on homemade food,
great value and down-to-earth staff and surroundings.
