The Minuteman Bike Trail

by Eric H.
VisitingNewEngland.com

The Minuteman Bike Trail is a recreational treasure in  otherwise densely populated Arlington. The bike trail runs parallel with Massachusetts Ave. and is perfect for bikers and walkers. It spans 11 miles --starting at Alewife Station in Cambridge, then Arlington, historic Lexington and the pleasant town of Bedford.  Expanses of open land with nice views highlight the bike trail (especially just east of the Four Seasons garden shop in Lexington), in addition to all the historic landmarks in Lexington. The Arlington stretch is great if you're a restaurant fan -- you can stop for a breakfast, lunch or dinner break at an amazing diversity of restaurants.  Our favorite is still the Arlington Restaurant and Diner (134 Mass Ave.
Arlington, MA, Tel.
(781) 646-9266), a Greek-American restaurant-diner that embodies the down-to-earth diner spirit and great food at great prices at breakfast, lunch and dinner.
