New Hampshire ski areas offer
variety of programs to entice new skiers and snowboarders

- Every year New Hampshire
ski areas make their best effort to make learning to ski or ride
fun and affordable. These programs put an emphasis on making
the learning experience enjoyable and helping the new skier or
rider get used to the basics of hitting the slopes. These
programs include everything a first-timer needs to hit the slopes,
and as an added incentive, many programs include a reward upon
completion to help skiers and snowboarders enjoy their new sport
as often as possible.

First Experience Ski or Ride: First
time skiers and riders receive rentals, lift ticket and clinic
for $85.
Three Perfect Turn Clinics: A three
day novice lift ticket and rentals costs $155.

Learn to Ski or Ride: The package includes
a lesson, all day lift ticket, and rental equipment. One
lesson costs $49, two lessons are $90, and three lessons are
$120.

Red Carpet Learn to Ski and Burton
Learn to Ride: The package for ages 13 and older includes ski
or board rental, a group lesson, and unlimited access to the
Learning Center Quad.
Be a Skier/ Be a Rider: Skiers and
snowboarders who have completed their first lesson can continue
with a ski or snowboard rental, two group lessons and all-mountain
lift ticket. (Package is for ages 13 and older.)

Ski and Ride 101: The program includes
a beginner area lift ticket, rental equipment, and lesson for
$49.
Master the Mountain 3 Time Program:
This three step program is intended for clubs, businesses, church
groups, scouts, and other similar groups; it is available on
weekdays and evenings.

Intro to Snowsports: This package for
the first time skier or rider costs $50 and is available non-holiday/midweek.

Mountain Magic One Day Package: This
one-day package for ages 6 and older gets you started on snow
with rental equipment, lessons, and lift tickets for $60.
After your first lesson you have the option to upgrade to the
three-day package for the same total cost of $120.
Mountain Magic Three Day Program: This
three-day package for ages 6 and older gets you started on snow
with rental equipment, lessons, and lift tickets for $120.
Upon completing the program, you receive a Gunstock Magic Card
that makes getting back on the snow more affordable, including
savings on lift tickets, lessons, rentals, equipment, and clothing.

First Timer Package: This first day
package includes a Powder Bear lift ticket, rentals, and one
group lesson. The cost is $53 for adults, $43 for ages
6-12 and $31 for ages 4-5. The same program is available
for cross country skiers as well at a lower rate.
Master the Mountain: This flexible
three-day package includes lift tickets (beginner ticket on the
first day, all mountain ticket for the second and third day),
lessons and rentals. The cost is $119 for adults and $99
for ages 8-12.

Learn to Ski or Ride Package: This
includes state-of-the-art learning equipment from Dynastar Skis
or Burton Snowboards, a beginner lift ticket and a 2 1/2 hour
group lesson.
Take Three, Ski or Ride Free: Take
three days of lesson at your leisure and receive a Loon Mountain
season pass good for the rest of the season. Package includes
instruction, rental equipment, and lift ticket, and is intended
for first timers only. Cost for the first day is $89; the
second and third days cost $99 each.

Get Into Skiing and Riding: The program
includes everything someone needs to get into skiing and riding:
an introductory lesson, rental equipment, and unlimited use of
the South Peak area for the entire day. The first day package
costs $70. The second and third days can be purchased for
$70, creating a three-day package for $140. Upon completing
the second day, guests are entered in a giveaway for ten complete
equipment packages. Once done with the third day, guests
receive a free Flex Card that offers discounts on tickets and
lessons for the remainder of the year.
Families First: Designed to allow families
to learn to ski or ride together, the package includes a two
hour lesson, rental package, and all day South Peak beginner
area lift ticket. Prices begin at $70 per person and include
a second and third day may be added for $70 more. The program
is for ages 8 and older.

Starter Special: This includes
a beginner group lesson, rental equipment, and all-day lift ticket
to the Valley beginner area.
Weekend Learn to Ski and Snowboard
Program: The participant chooses either a Saturday or Sunday
and attends for seven weeks.
Passport Program: Participants take
four ski or snowboard lessons and receive a season pass for the
rest of the year for Pats Peak and Waterville Valley.

Learn to Ski/Ride Passport Program:
This three part program offers lessons, lift tickets, and equipment.
On the fourth visit, guests buy a lift ticket and receive a season
pass good for the rest of the season.

Learn to Ski or Board the Cat: Participants
(age 6 and older) take four learn to ski or ride lessons for
just $199 and get a free season pass for the rest of the season.
Lessons are two hours each, and include lift ticket and rental
equipment.
