STRATTON MOUNTAIN NORDIC CENTER ­ Stratton's Nordic Center at the Sun Bowl offers rentals, lessons and a full service Base Lodge. Featuring classic New England terrain for beginners and experts, the trail system is unique and varied with secluded trails winding through hardwood forests and over streams. Guided snowshoe tours in the National Forest to the firetower as well as a complete telemark Demo Center offering lessons and equipment from Atomic, Crispi, Rossignol and more are available.

THREE STALLION INN SKI TOURING ­ According to Three Stallion Inn guests, Lippitt's Restaurant and Morgan's Pub offer, "the best dining experience in Central Vermont." TIMBER CREEK XC AREA ­ Timber Creek, well known as a high quality cross-country ski area, is located across from Mount Snow and cradled by the Green Mountains. TRAPP FAMILY LODGE XC SKI CENTER ­ Trapp Family Lodge Cross-country Ski Center in Stowe, in operation since 1967, was the first commercial cross-country ski area in the United States. Located on the spine of the Green Mountains, they are blessed with good snow conditions all season long. The center offers 55 km of groomed trails that are interconnected to the Stowe Mountain Resort, Topnotch and Edson Hill ski touring centers, making a trail network of 140 km of groomed trails and another 100 km of back country trails. VIKING NORDIC CENTER ­ Viking Nordic Center is one of the oldest cross-country ski centers in North America. With 35 km of trails they offer something for every skier. WILD WINGS SKI TOURING CENTER ­ Wild Wings Ski Touring Center offers classic skiing for all abilities on trails that meander through the woods and along a brook. Visitors often report bobcat, rabbit, deer and sometimes even moose sightings. Wild Wings' location in a snow pocket means that there is skiable snow even when the valleys are bare. Rental and lessons are available.

WOODSTOCK SKI TOURING CENTER ­ The Woodstock Ski Touring Center provides 60 km of groomed and marked trails, running over the golf course and into the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park. Cross-country Skiing Magazine stated, "Vermont is loaded with Nordic skiing options, but none more attractive than those in Woodstock." The Woodstock Country Club building becomes the Woodstock Ski Touring Center lodge in the winter, offering rentals and a ski school as well as hot treats to warm the chilled Nordic adventurer.
