Extended stay hotels in the
Boston MA area
by Eric H. (lifelong
New England resident)
When on business or long-term
pleasure travel, in between jobs or moving to your new home,
working on a construction
project, etc., it's hard to beat an extended stay hotel. Many
have a homelike atmosphere with apartment-like suites featuring
separate living and sleeping areas. It's not uncommon to have
a kitchen and wireless internet included!
The concept is about 35-years-old,
but has recently become a growing hotel phenomenon as people
looking to stay several days at a hotel want great comfort, value,
a larger room space
Having tried an extended- stay
hotel a few years ago while on business travel, I found the concept
to be truly remarkable. It was like living in a studio condo
with lots of comfort and certainly more options than your standard
motel room. The kitchen area came in handy as opposed to spending
lots of money at an unknown restaurant far away from home.
Boston is a perfect place for
an extended stay for any type of traveler. There's so much history,
modern amenities, great restaurants and wonderful attractions
in one of America's great cities. It's nice to come back to a
comfortable suite after a great day in the city or a challenging
business day, complete with Boston commuting traffic.
Many hotel businesses offer fine
extended stay rooms, but our favorite, from experience, is the
Marriott Residence Inn. Like all Marriott hotels, we found its
extended stay rooms to be of high quality and comfort, as well
as offering a professional, efficient staff.
