Christmas in Newport, R.I. offers so
many memorable holiday scenes, thus proving that this famous New
England destination is truly special year-round. From simple to elaborate, here are five such
places sure to get you in the holiday spirit...
Newport Harbor Lighthouse

This famous lighthouse at Goat Island with views of the Pell Bridge in
the distance could stand on its own as a beautiful Newport attraction
but a few Christmas designs make it that much nicer.
Easton's Beach

The Christmas tree at Easton's Beach is rather diminutive, standing
at about three ft. tall but its presence juxtaposed with the beach
makes it stand out beautifully. Dress up warmly, though, the chill in
the air can be quite bracing! The tree is located near the main
visitor's building.
Marble House

What's better than a tour of a Newport mansion? A tour of a Newport
mansion during the Christmas season! The stunningly beautiful Marble
House reveals several Christmas trees within its large spaces. This
Christmas tree by a grand marble staircase stands as one of the more
impressive parts of the tour.
Annie's on Bellevue

Lunch and breakfast at Annie's on Bellevue Ave. never disappoints. Neither will the
Christmas designs on the ceiling. What an incredible sight! It's hard
to imagine how many hours went into creating this spectacular,
welcoming design.
Salve Regina University

The Christmas lights on mature trees leading to Salve Regina University's Ochre Court
Building (a spectacular mansion-style building) never fail to amaze.
So grand, so brilliant, so Christmas! It's like approaching a sparkling
castle during the Christmas season in a fairy tale.
