Hail to Hale Reservation, Westwood, Mass., for its Scenic Suburban Oasis!

Westwood, regarded as one of the best places to live in

the United States by CNN/Money and Money Magazine in 2005, features the 1,250 acre Hale Reservation, located just off Route 109 near the town center. Hale is secluded, but safe -- a popular camp area in the summer and a foliage strolling destination in the fall. Hale Reservation features clean bodies of water with surrounding hiking trails, a great waterfall and dense forestry. It is a popular scouting destination, as well as a place to walk the dog (be careful where you walk at Hale). Our favorite Hale Reservation walk is the Storrow Pond Trail. Starting at Hale's main entrance, the wide trails, take you through some pretty slopes, en route to some truly beautiful views of Storrow and Noanet Ponds. Enjoy, it doesn't get much prettier than this in suburban Boston!
