Lord's Department Store in Medfield, MA, Brings Back the Feeling of Shopping from Another Era ![]() Article and photos by Eric H. If you liked shopping at Woolworth's and other old-fashioned downtown department or "Mom and Pop" stores as a younger person, then you'll love visiting Lord's Department Store in Medfield, MA. The luncheonette features black and white tile flooring, a long counter, rotating stools, nostalgic memorabilia and an old Cocal Cola machine. The food ia actually much better than what Woolworth's offered, especially the sipcy chicken panini with cheddar cheese and "hots" -- as well as the superb locally-made Black Cow ice cream. Other tasty items include burgers, hot dogs, macaroni and cheese, waffles, pancakes, and of course the variety of coffees. What a treasured discovery Coffee Sensations is for breakfast or lunch! Lord's won't offer you the variety that the big-time department stores do, but that's fine with us. We enjoy the friendly, small-town atmosphere, the welcoming staff, the inventory that services us well, and the chance to feel good about shopping in a store that brings us back to a gentler time. ![]() Lord's Department Store 446 Main St Medfield, MA Tel.
