If food is all about taste, then Minas Cafe es brilliante in creating savory Brazilian dishes that will have you coming back for more.

Tucked away in a tiny strip mall in the southernmost side of working class South Norwood, Mass., the wonderful aromas at Minas give great promise for a wonderful dining experience upon entering this plain-looking restaurant with minimal seating and lots of locals who know about this hidden dining jewel. The expertly prepared marinated pork with bacon, steak, chicken, as well as fresh vegetables, tasty rice with vegetables and sauces deliver on the promise on the aromas. The food is so good that you may overeat, but it's worth the temporary bloating.

Minas offers its delicious creations buffet style at extremely reasonable prices. On our first visit, the owner and his staff explained to us about the different Brazilian foods they offer, as well as graciously offering us samples before ordering. Our positive response resulted in big smiles from the owner and staff, thus confirming the pride of ownership that resides in this small storefront restaurant with a big heart and delicious Brazilian cuisine.
