New England Shopping>>> American Girl Place, Natick, MA All Dolled Up At The American Girl Place At The Natick Collection, Natick, MA
Article and photo by Eric H. It's true testimony to a doll manufacturer (in this case,American Girl dolls are lovingly created and flawlessley manufactured -- almost lifelike as most girls can find a doll that looks somewhat like them. Additionally, with books and movies that promote personal responsibility, and teach historical lessons reflective of the generation the American Girl lived, or lives, the American Girl world wonderfully educates and entertains on a meaningful level. What comes out of that learning and playing process is a prideful sense of ownership and a gaining of historical knowledge, concepts, facts and theories that empowers a child to learn and have fun at the same time. With only a handful of American Girl stores in the United States, imagine what a thrill it was for Boston area girls to learn that the 20,000 sq. ft. American Girl Place was coming to Natick, MA (close to Boston), in November 2008. Since then, the chance for girls to view (and often have their parents buy) their favorite American Girl dolls, outfits, accessories and books, eat at the colorful in-store cafe, and have their dolls beautified at the salon has created a local pop culture phenomenon that just goes to show that integrity-drive products can thrive quite well in a society that doesn't always put its best foot forward when it comes to childrens' products. With great respect to the past generations of expert doll making, the American Girl product line is simply brilliant -- sure to please the child and parent, who both recognize a good thing when they see it. The American Girl world can be seen in its full glory at the Natick Collection shopping mall! American Girl Place, Natick, MA 1245 Worcester Street, Rte. 9 Natick, MA 01760 (888) 777-0010
