A hidden gem of an attraction in York Harbor, Maine

The Cliff Walk at Harbor Beach

by Eric H.
VisitingNewEngland.com

The Cliff Walk, which connects York Harbor and York Village, provides stunning views of the rocky Atlantic coastline, Habror Beach and panoramic views of the ocean. It's not the most well-known York tourist attraction, but that works to your advantage -- it's like making your own secret discovery. Additionally Harbor Beach is a gem, a small but beautiful stretch of sand with more great views of the ocean. It's a great place to swim and not as crowded as York's more popular beaches, Short and Long Sands (parking, however, is a challenge unless you're staying at the Stage Neck Inn or Edwards' Harborside). The Cliff Walk is about a 15-minute walk that provides a lifetime of quintessential New England memories!

Directions to the Cliff Walk: Just off Route 1A, within a few hundred yards of the Stage Neck Inn.
